The Key Flag Symbol Certification
The Key Flag Symbol Certification was granted to Restaurointimaalaus Nykänen Oy by the decision-making committee of the Association for Finnish Work on 9 December 2020. The Key Flag Symbol is a mark of Finnish work and can be awarded to services produced in Finland and products manufactured in Finland. In total, the symbol is carried by more than 4,100 services, products, and product groups. The mark is administered by the Association for Finnish Work.
In the construction industry, many major players rely on foreign labour. We are proud to state that Restaurointimaalaus Nykänen Oy, as a 100% Finnish company, has become a standard-bearer of Finnish work and is on a strong growth path. Through the Key Flag Symbol, we aim to further highlight the importance of Finnish work and responsible employment practices within our organisation. All our services are produced in Finland, we currently employ 100% Finnish staff, and we pay all our taxes in Finland.
Promoting Finnish Competitiveness
The Key Flag Symbol is a well-known mark that helps consumers choose Finnish alternatives. According to a study by the Association for Finnish Work, more than two thirds (69%) of respondents feel that the Key Flag Symbol has a significant or fairly significant impact on purchasing decisions.
Purchasing domestic services is perceived as a form of societal influence and a value-based choice that contributes to Finnish competitiveness and well-being, says Reetta Mentu, Marketing Director at the Association for Finnish Work.
Restaurointimaalaus Nykänen is a large and diverse employer. We employ more than 20 painting professionals in Southern Finland. In our projects, we make use of our own workforce as extensively as possible.
For us, the Key Flag Symbol can be seen as a symbol of Finnish work. We also strive to choose services and products carrying the Key Flag Symbol whenever possible, and through our choices we encourage others to do the same.
